MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIFORNIA - August 12, 2010 - FarStone Technology, a data backup and disaster recovery software developer, is proud to announce the release of VirtualDrive™ Pro 14. VirtualDrive™ Pro 14 is a CD/DVD/Blu-ray backup and emulation solution that converts CDs/DVDs/Blu-ray discs into compressed images or Virtual CDs for faster playback and better manageability. The software has been a proven solution to protect CDs/DVDs/Blu-ray discs from being lost, damaged, or destroyed, eliminating the need to use physical discs.
For years, FarStone´s VirtualDrive software has been helpful to many-parents, gamers, music lovers, home video collectors, etc-in terms of burning, copying, and emulating CDs/DVDs. VirtualDrive allows for better organization of physical discs by simply converting them to VCDs and keeping them all on one digital storage media. Unlike physical CD/DVD drives, which are limited to one or two CDs/DVDs at a time, VirtualDrive allows 23 virtual CDs (VCDs) to run simultaneously. Not only are VCDs more convenient than physical discs, but VCDs run more efficiently as well. Virtual CDs run directly from the hard drive at up to 200 times faster than a physical disc.
